    Description

    An interesting CDV that is a conglomeration of hundreds of individual portraits. The caption at the bottom reads, “Upwards of five hundred photographic portraits of the most celebrated personages of the age.” It includes portraits of European royalty and intellectuals. Portraits of both Union and Confederate personalities are found along the bottom portion of the image. The carte measures about 2 1/2” x 4” and is in very good condition as shown, with light toning to the mount.
