1856 Indian Princess Head Gold Love Token

Three dollar pieces are just about the scarcest US coin denomination.  Three dollar gold love tokens are even rarer, and rarer still is the gold love token that still bears the date - most gold love tokens were engraved on the reverse, leaving the Indian Head to be seen on the coin.
The front of the love token has a nicely engraved border surrounding the letters P E M.   A pin was soldered on the reverse, and it was likely worn as a brooch.  The pin still works. The date of 1856 can clearly be seen, which is a bonus as the original mintage was only 26,010.
This is a handsome piece!
